 On 1 November, I had learned and experienced many things when doing practical training in Jen Hotel. In the training, we were individually paired with an experiences housekeeper, the housekeeper demonstration how to clear and clean the room to me. This training let me know that it is not as easy as I think, it is not as simple as cleaning our own bedroom. As they need to clean and tidy a room within 15 minutes, the housekeeper needs to refill supplies, clean the toilet, change liner of pillow and blanket, vacuum the room and make sure everything is in the right order. The housekeeper also taught me that changing the liner is not just using strength but with some trick and technique to change it smooth and fast as watching him demonstrate is so easy but when I tried it is not easy at its seem. Besides that, I also knew that there is no time to waste as we need to clean around 20 rooms a day and maybe suddenly there will have some additional room to clean too. I experience it and knew that this is a very exhausting job, we need to be fast and make sure everything is in order to let the next guest to check-in into a clean and satisfying room. The job of the housekeeper is not easy as we imagine, it is a 3D job that is Dirty, Dangerous and Difficult. Thanks to our lecturer for letting us this chance to experience the real environment of the hotel and let us gain new experience and knowledge.
