Room
Attendants are responsible for cleaning and servicing guest rooms in order to
provide a pleasant and comfortable experience for the guests. They need to
ensure that all rooms are inviting and clean and they address all guest queries
politely and knowledgeably. Besides that, room attendants duties will include
ensuring that assigned rooms are fully stocked, cleaned, and serviced to a high
standard. They should also be able to resolve guest complaints and queries
promptly and in a polite manner.
Room
Attendants Responsibities:
- Greeting
guests and responding to queries.
- Changing
bed linen and making beds.
- Replacing
used towels and other bathroom amenities, such as shampoo and soap.
- Sweeping
and mopping floors.
- Vacuuming
carpets.
- Dusting and
polishing furniture.
- Emptying
trash containers and ashtrays.
- Restocking
beverages and food items in the mini bar.
- Cleaning
public areas, such as corridors.
- Reporting
any technical issues and maintenance needs.
- Updating
status of guest rooms on assignment sheet.
- Returning
and restocking cleaning cart at shift end.
Skills and
Qualification for Room Attendants:
> Interpersonal and communication
skills:
- Communicating clearly in order to get the message across to guests and members of other departments
- Having a positive, calm, and courteous attitude at all times; and
- Being able to focus attention on guest needs, delivering high levels of customer service.

skills:
- Having strong multitasking skills; being able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; and
- being organized and having excellent attention to detail.
· >Ability to work independently, as
well as cohesively as part of a team.
· >Highly responsible and reliable.
· >Committed to providing an excellent
service and exceed guests' expectations.
· >High School graduate or equivalent is
preferred.
· >Previous experience of one year is
preferred.
