Throughout this field trip at Jen Hotel on 8th November 2019. My teammates and I are arrange to have a practical training on housekeeping department. Although I am not very keen on working in housekeeping department, but still I will always do my best to clean the room and allow guest to stay happily and comfortable. The skills that I gained from Housekeeping class is more on theory, it helps me to excel in the working environment in Jen Hotel. Even though each of us are separate with the workers in Jen Hotel, but we still finish our jobs that are distribute for us to carry out. Whenever we finish it, we will always try to help the others to finish their jobs as well. Working in Housekeeping Department is a repeatable job where you repeat the same routine every day. So it may seem to be very boring, but as our lecturer thought us housekeeping job is 3D (dangerous, dirty and difficult). It can be tell as a very challenging job when every time we clean another room. Housekeeping is not easy too because they have time limited to every room we clean and need to clean about 20plus room per day. The workers at Jen Hotel all looks like an expert to me, because when they are folding and making the beds is like an easy task but when I try it myself I didn’t know it was so hard and challenging. The housekeeping workers at Jen Hotel must be well trained. I was impressed. But after tiding up a few rooms, I start to get use to it. Here also thanks to my lecturer to give the opportunity to learn and have a memorable day in Jen Hotel.
